Field Operations Bureau
The Field Operations Bureau has the responsibility of providing police services to the public. In addition to providing a police response to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, the Operations Bureau has the responsibility for conducting all criminal investigations, protecting life and property, preparing incident reports, handling traffic assignments, providing proactive patrols and special assignments.

About the Deputy Superintendent
Commander Albert has over 20 years of service with the Department. In June of 2010 Superintendent Serpas selected him to take over the command of the 2nd Police District in uptown New Orleans.
Cmdr. Albert has received numerous departmental awards for meritorious service and has attended Senior Leadership Training sponsored by the Department of Justice, as well as a number of other professionally-supported educational training programs. Cmdr. Albert has both an Associate and Baccalaureate Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Concordia University where he received Magna Cum Laude honors.
